A simple way to give. A powerful way to create change.
Impact100 Whakatipu brings women together to pool their giving, share insight, and collectively decide where funding can make the greatest difference. The model is intentionally simple - making it easy to contribute, stay engaged, and see your impact in action.
The Impact100 model, explained:
Each year, supporters of Impact100 Whakatipu contribute a set amount. These individual donations are combined into one significant pool, which is then granted to local nonprofit organisations delivering meaningful outcomes across our region. By giving together, we’re able to fund larger, more transformative projects - creating impact that goes beyond what individual donations could achieve alone.

At least 100 women come together

Each woman donates $1000

$100,000 is donated to a local charity
How It Works: A Year of Collective Impact
Impact100 Whakatipu follows a clear annual rhythm, giving supporters confidence, visibility, and time to engage in ways that suit them.
1. Join the Community
Supporters join Impact100 Whakatipu by making their annual contribution. From the outset, you become part of a connected, values-led community of women committed to making a meaningful local impact. (Sign ups close end of April).
2. Learn, Connect & Engage
Across the year, supporters are invited to events, gatherings, and learning opportunities designed to inform, inspire, and build connection - both with one another and with the organisations working in our region.
3. The Big Reveal (May)
At the annual Grant Amount Reveal Event, supporterss see the true power of collective generosity come to life as the total grant pool is revealed.
At this stage, local charities are also invited to submit an Expression of Interest, signalling the beginning of the grants process. This is where possibility turns into momentum.
7. Impact Begins
The grants are awarded on the night of the Gala Dinner, and the successful organisations begin delivering their projects.
Supporters can proudly see the impact of their collective generosity unfold across the Whakatipu.
4. Grant Applications & Review
Following the Expression of Interest stage, selected organisations are invited to submit full grant applications. Applications are carefully reviewed by the Impact100 Whakatipu Grants team, ensuring each proposal aligns with our criteria, values, and the needs of our community.
5. Meet the Finalists (Sep)
Up to five finalist charities are selected and invited to briefly present their projects at the Meet the Finalists event. Supporters hear directly from the organisations - learning about their vision, the impact they hope to create, and how the funding could support their work.
6. The Gala Award Dinner (Oct)
At the annual Gala Award Dinner, supporters come together to hear a project outline from each finalist charity and vote on which finalist organisations will receive the Impact100 grants. It’s a powerful evening of connection, celebration, and shared decision-making. Every supporter’s voice counts.
